First Snow, Leaves and Sunshine
In Canada (and not only), November is the time of the first snow and the start of the cold season.
The beautiful autumn colors start to disappear and the white takes place. The beginning of November though, is not that bad. Some leaves can still be seen, especially in nice sunny days. There is a beauty in everything. But when the ice starts to glisten in the golden light, it looks like magic π
I photographed these leaves covered by the first snow and ice in Ottawa, Canada. The wonderful morning November light falling on them, was begging for a shot. It is available in my Fine Art America as art prints for wall decor framed, as simple prints, canvas prints and more.
** BTW: the default frame shown in the gallery is simple black, but there are a lot of different frames to chose from. Just click on it to see all the options:
As usual I like to play with my images in the digital media. Here is a digital painting of it:
I made both these additional digital paintings for a creative, artistic and decorative wall and home decor. It’s not winter yet, but its beauty starts to show up even in November in some places…
The picture is also part of the “Golden Light” gallery – Does it sound a more optimistic? I think so too, especially that the sunshine can actually warm up a cold white wall. But the gift ideas don’t end here.
I also think that an abstract painting version of these beautiful icy leaves in the golden light, is also interesting and decorative:

But what I think it’s a very cute idea, are the wooden ornaments for the winter season π Here are some samples:
Very nice, Tatiana. You took a common subject and transformed it into a wonderful presentation. The light and colors and snow and colored leaves illustrate the change of seasons. I like both the actual photograph and the abstract version. Well done.
Thank you so much Bill! I’m honored with your kind comment! π
